Challenge

For this project, we renovated an exterior staircase by replacing the damaged and uneven tile with a cleaner, more finished tile installation. The new stair tile improved the overall appearance of the entryway while creating a stronger and more polished finish.

The existing stair tile was worn, uneven, and damaged in several areas, especially around the front edge of the landing. Some tiles were loose or missing, and the stairs had an unfinished appearance that affected both the look and function of the entryway.

Solution

We removed the damaged tile areas, prepared the surface, and applied a RedGard waterproofing membrane before installing the new exterior tile. The new stair tile installation included clean grout lines and finished stair edges, creating a more durable, water-resistant, and visually polished entryway.
